README.TXT

Enclosed file "Autocorrect.TPT" is a template for Multi-Edit version
9.x. When this template is enabled, common spelling errors and typos
are instantly corrected as soon as the spacebar is pressed after the
misspelling. Thus, "hte " is instantly changed to "the ", and so forth,
just as in Microsoft Word. The "dictionary" contains 64 entries of the
most frequently misspelled words, and of course can be modified.

Installation:

1. Copy Autocorrect.TPT to the <ME_PATH>\Config directory.

2. For each filetype which should have autocorrection enabled, choose
from the menubar "Tools | Customize | General | Filename extensions".
Select the filetype (e.g., "TXT" or "DOC" or "HTM"). Click on Edit.

3. Under "Edit Filename Extension Setup", enter the template name
"Autocorrect" (without the quotes or the TPT extension) in the field
that says "Addon templates". If there is already a template name in
this field, add a semicolon (;) to the template name and append the
word Autocorrect after that. Click on "OK" and close the remaining
prompt windows.

Usage:

If the Autocorrection feature corrects a word you intentionally want
misspelled, use the Multi-Edit Undo command to revert to the original
form and press the right-arrow cursor key to preserve the misspelling.
